How much would it cost me to sell my products with BuilderDepot?
BuilderDepot does not charge for selling your products. Actually, there are no set up fees, no ongoing charges, and not even a contract to sign. BuilderDepot makes money like any other retailer.
Who pays the shipping charges?
The customer pays for shipping charges. You may elect to offer free shipping or
fixed shipping charges within the continental USA.
How many products can I sell with BuilderDepot?
You can sell all of your products, popular items or not, as
we do not have to worry about inventory or floor space for slow moving
products. And there is no cost to you.
Who sets the selling price?
BuilderDepot sets the selling prices, or we can work
with you to set it. BuilderDepot
believes that you know your products best, and therefore, your input is important.
BuilderDepot marks up the cost to set the selling price. The only requirement is not to place
BuilderDepot at a competitive disadvantage.
How to I get my products in the BuilderDepot system?
BuilderDepot loads your products into the system. BuilderDepot will need your cooperation to supply us with the necessary information about your products.
We need the product name, description,
cost, weight, and one (or two) image for each
product.
You can enter the products via a browser, or you may prepare
the entire list of product in an Excel spreadsheet and upload all the products
at once (this is the recommended method if you have hundreds or thousands of
products)
How do I get paid?
Once you receive your order details from BuilderDepot, you
ship to the Ship-To address provided by the customer, enter the tracking number in the
system. You then invoice
BuilderDepot. You must be able to Drop-Ship. If this arrangement cannot be
worked out, we can make other arrangements. We pay our vendors every 2 weeks via check or ACH.
How about returns?
BuilderDepot offers a 30-day NoQuestion-Asked promise to its
customers, and you are expected to comply.
The customer pays for the return freight expenses, and the returned
product must be in the original carton and in re-saleable condition. You may impose a reasonable re-stocking fee,
but you must declare this in your product listings. After the initial 30 days, the product should be covered by the
manufacturer warranty, and you are expected to honor your own warranty.
How are the shipping charges calculated?
We use the product's weight and dimensions to compute the shipping charges. Or we can collectively agree on other options such as a fixed charge, or free shipping.
How long after the products are loaded they become available to the customers to buy?
Instantly, once the update is completed. However, it takes another week before your products
show on the search engines on the Internet.
How about product images for my products?
Each product can have two images. They can be the same (small and large), or two different
images. Just make sure the image file size
does not exceed 250 Kbytes (smaller is better, ideally, around 50 Kbytes). Also, the image dimensions should not exceed
350X350 pixels. You can use JPEG, PNG or GIF
formats, only
